A reading habit for people with unfinished books
Reading is useful when it serves curiosity or a real question. Finishing every book is not a requirement for learning something worthwhile.

Give the book a purpose
Write the question that made you pick it up. If the book no longer serves that question, switching is a reasonable choice.
Attach reading to a reliable moment
Use a commute, a lunch break or a quiet weekend slot. Start with a length that fits your circumstances.
Capture one usable idea
Summarize a point in your own words and note where it came from. Decide whether to try it, investigate it or leave it alone.
Try this today
Read for ten minutes and write a two-sentence note. A small record of understanding is more useful than an impressive page count.
